Choosing you

There are moments when you feel your power, your truth - deep down.
You know it's all in you.
And then there are moments you start looking outside of you for the solution, the breakthrough, THE change. You search for the next retreat, the next tool, the next book - hoping it will bring you closer to where you want to be.
This already separates you from your own power.
You know you've got it all - and you struggle to express it and reflect it in your life.
You think your life has to be a certain way or
you need to feel in a certain way
once you've got it
once you have changed
once you have arrived.
This thinking separates you from it.
The thought that something is not ok with you or your life
separates you from the life you want to life and feel.
Loving you everyday will change it.
It is not about a one time high.
It is not about loving yourself when all is easy and great.
It is about loving yourself through everything, especially the moments when it is hard.
Here is a simple example of what I mean:
After a meditation during which many thoughts came up and I wasn't really able to focus and go deep, this would have been my self talk some time ago:
"I'll never get there. Why can't I just let go? How can others do it but not me?"
My body would tighten up and I'd feel like a failure.
This is one of hundreds of possibilities we have in our daily life to choose love:
When you are aware of your reaction, thoughts, feelings, physical sensations in that moment AND you have the ability to change your entire state you can change.
There are many ways. You don't need complicated tools.
I placed my hand on my heart, felt my heart and that part of me that felt like never getting it right. And then I started to feel gratitude, love and compassion for myself. I was able to hold myself in that moment. I could BE with myself.
So that I could see and feel it for what it was: a meditation during which many thoughts came up.
Not judging it.
Not making it mean anything about myself.
Being grateful for the experience.
I could feel an energetic shift going through my entire body.
It was a completely new experience for my body in a situation where I used to be hard on myself to hold myself in love. It was healing.
And it took 2 minutes or less.
Because I had gained the awareness and the ability to change it. Is it always easy? Definitely not. Is it worth it? Definitely yes.
There is a huge difference between intelectually thinking in that moment "It is ok and I love myself" or to really feel it with all your cells in your body. The first is easy, the second is the continous work and choosing love continously. If you only have the awareness, you could not change it.
It is quite easy to have the awareness, but changing it on a cellular level in that very moment is something else.
And this ability, you gain it in your daily life.
Not within a day or a week.
And it is not one retreat, one healing session or one meditation that will change it.
Choosing you and loving you every day will.
